Hot cast from pure lead, these Minié balls are gauged appropriately to fit down the barrel of your .54, .58, or.69 caliber rifle musket (choose caliber below). The hollow base of the bullet is designed to expand upon ignition to grip the rifling grooves tightly as it travels out the muzzle. It was this design feature that gave the Minié ball its deadly reputation in the War Between the States.

The grease grooves are filled with the original 1861 lubricant recipe of 8 parts beeswax, 1 part mutton tallow, allowing for a smooth feed down the barrel every time. 20 rounds are bundled in period-inspired packaging.
